Christmas is the time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. For all of eternity, Jesus Christ had enjoyed the glories of Heaven with His Father, but one day Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary in the little town of Bethlehem. Have you ever wondered exactly why Jesus chose to leave Heaven and come to this sinful earth? The reasons why Jesus came to earth reveal the true meaning of Christmas. [...] We learn in Scripture that Christ mediates for us in three different ways. He is our Prophet, our Priest, and our King. In each of these mediatorial offices, the Bible describes Christ as being with His people. On one page, there was a picture showing how the light comes from the sun and hits the earth and the moon. For the first time he realized that the moon was not a light – it simply reflects light.
