Last week I began a YouTube Channel for our church. There are several purposes for this channel. First, I have found that people are sometimes skeptical about going to a church that they do not know anything about. One remedy for this is our audio sermons on SermonAudio.com, but by using YouTube to upload videos, people can actually see short excerpts of me preaching. Second, millions of people search the internet for “religious” resources and instruction. I am praying that the Lord will use these topical excerpts to be an encouragement and means of instruction to people who find them. Third, I intend for these clips to be used as a means of evangelism. You can forward these clips to your friends via email, Facebook, Twitter, or a whole host of other methods. Many times, people will watch a video clip that you send them before they will enter into a conversation about spiritual things. You can find our YouTube channel by going to http://www.youtube.com/CalvaryFPC, or you can click on the YouTube logo on the left side of this page.
The internet is a means of technology that allows the ministry of the Gospel to get into many homes that otherwise would be closed to a personal visit from a Gospel Minister. If you have comments or suggestions to improve these videos, I would be happy to receive them. You can watch a sample below.
